00:03 To switch from engraving a small part to a large sign, lift the smaller tacky mat and replace it with a larger one.

00:10 Here we'll engrave a sign that's 11 inches by 16 inches tall with one and three-quarter inch high letters, and we'll simply add a second mat to fill the entire bed.

00:20 While other machines have separate methods for holding small parts and large parts, Scott's Universal Tacky Mats grip all sizes of engraving plastics.

00:30 In seconds, you're ready to press the large sign blank into place and engrave your sign.

00:36 Okay, let's engrave these one-inch letters with a sixteenth of an inch diameter cutter.

00:45 The lettering has well-defined, crisp edges, and it's easily viewable from a distance.

00:50 When producing signs this large, the cost of material matters. Scott Ply is remarkably economical. This panel is about $18. Less than one third the cost of your local sign shop.

01:04 Engraving is smooth, quiet, and fast.

01:06 As the letters form, the chips are drawn away by our integrated vacuum system.

01:11 We're using a single line Helvetica font for the smaller text.

01:15 And no need to change cutters when we switch from one inch to one and three quarter inch high letters.

01:20 So you can start engraving and just walk away.

01:27 We're engraving Scott's unique three-line Helvetica font now. Line fonts form the shortest toolpaths.

01:37 Our engraving software comes with a variety of multi-line fonts and standard TrueType fonts to give you limitless options for sign design.

01:49 See how swiftly the three-line font fills the letters as the cutter sweeps across the sign.

02:08 Looks nice and professional, all with a single cutter.

02:12 Finally, brush away any remaining chips or dust, though most have already been removed. Then hand vacuum for the best look possible.

02:22 You're done! And your sign is ready to post.
